Staff & Senior Staff Nurses - Complex Care

Our client is the leading medical charity working for those affected by epilepsy, through cutting edge research, awareness campaigns and expert care.

We are looking for Staff Nurses (General, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities) of all grades to work in their specialist units which provide care for individuals with complex care needs. All service users are aged over 18. Some are making the transition from children's to adult services and all require help with their physical, psychological and emotional well-being. Some need help with communication, learning or behaviour and may require help with relationships and activities. Others behave in ways that present problems in the community and need particular support with personal care and daily living.

The organisation places considerable emphasis on training and development for its staff. As such all employees are expected to participate fully in training offered and we are looking for candidates who wish to continuously learn and develop. Those who do not already have Mentorship in Professional Practice will be supported to attain this particular qualification.

Applicants for this post must be qualified nurses and have some experience of working with people with neurological disabilities, and ideally have knowledge of seizure management. It would be desirable for applicants to have experience of working with people with learning disabilities, epilepsy and / or challenging behaviour.
