HCL International have exciting opportunities for GPs (Family Medicine Doctors) across the UK.Locations are including: Leeds, Liverpool, Essex and Luton.
JOB SUMMARY:The post holder is an experienced GP providing immediate and necessary treatment (minor injury, minor illness and some minor injury plus) to the catchments population.
The GP will provide for the Primary and Urgent Care needs together with other identified
Core Services for patients using the centre, the post holder will be aware of the "see and treat" nature of care being provided and will liaise with all clinicians and other healthcare professionals where appropriate, delivering a high degree of urgent care and treatment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Deliver care on an immediate and necessary basis for all patients visiting the Urgent Care Centre
- Ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-ray, pathology tests.
- Liaise where required, with other agencies and healthcare professionals
- Liaise with Unit Managers and Lead Nurse to develop the Urgent Care Centre, within the local health care economy
- Communicate effectively with other professionals
- Provide mentoring and support where necessary to Nurse Practitioners and other clinical staff
- Work with other agencies to ensure efficient patient care
- Communicate where necessary, with patient's own GP
- Ensure compliance to the standards for Better Health
- Maintain the highest possible professional image for the Medical Centre
- Develop a research culture within the centre, by encouraging staff to read and utilise current research
- Participate with the Quality Assurance, Health Care Commission or any other body evaluating the effectiveness of the service.

- Every Practitioner will also need to have every appropriate qualification and fulfil CPD requirements including annual appraisals.
